The Perfect Push Up

Mike's Perfect Push Up Blog: For years, I have been using stationary push-up bars - and I've been happy with them. But...just when you thought (or didn't think at all) that a product was perfect, someone comes along and improves it. And... WoW - what an improvement to my at-home strength-training regime!

Here's what I do: in addition to some basic Yoga moves every morning (see the Yoga Section), I will typically add 10 push-ups and 30 curls with my dumbbells. The Perfect Pushup is a major improvement because the swiveling action of the handles enable you to work otherwise unreachable muscles.

Brian's Perfect Push Up Blog: I bought the Perfect Push Up about 3 weeks ago and have been using it about once a week. My workout routine has a great deal of variety to it and usually consists of hitting the gym, running and surfing, each one day a week.

I was looking for something that I could throw in my workout bag that would target my upper body on my running days, and let me tell you, this was it.Not only did this product deliver the upper body workout I was looking for, it far surpassed my expectations. I think it has something to do with the rotation of the device that not only allows you to get a great chest work out, but it’s also really popped out my triceps and strengthened the rear part of my shoulders. I’ve never had big arms and for the first time in my life I have triceps that looks proportional to my body. (Where was this when I was in high school )

Like I said, I’ve only been using it once a week for three weeks so I can only imagine what I would look like if I did it every other day as the product suggests.

So I totally recommend this to anyone looking for some upper body strength and definition. And if you’re like me, and aren’t a gym rat, it’s the perfect thing to throw in your bag with a jump rope, and you’ve got all you need for a workout on the go.

First they did it with the Perfect Pushup - and now they've done it again, with the Perfect Pullup! With a swing arm and rotating handles, you'll be able to easily perform a variety of exercises from beginning to advanced. This is a real improvement over the regular old door-jam pull up bar.

TKO Push Up Bars

Compared to the Perfect Pushup, the TKO Push-up Bars are what I now consider classics - but nevertheless, and essential component to your at-home strength training arsenal.

Everlast Standard Duo Exercise Wheel

When I first came across the exercise wheel, I laughed at it because it's such a simple and obvious fitness tool (now I know how the Sumerians must have felt when they invented the wheel). However, after using my Everlast Exercise Wheel regularly, I realized that it's anything but simple. Even after the first few rolls, my abs and upper body were burning - and I've been hooked ever since then.

The wheel is also an excellent way to stretch your back muscles - but be careful not to get carried away the first time you use your exercise wheel - because you'll be working muscles that are not often reached.

Oh, and the price is right too!
